Application & Pathway Review

Complete the Upgrade Application, Eligibility and Evidence Form and submit your supporting evidence.

Online Learning

Complete the targeted online upgrade learning allocated to your pathway.

Knowledge Assessment

Complete the applicable online knowledge assessment before attending the practical day.

Practical Assessment Day

Attend one supervised Integrated Practical Assessment Day (8:30am–4:30pm) in a simulated security workplace.

Your assessor reviews your knowledge results, practical observations, operational records and Credit Transfer outcomes.

Qualification Outcome

Once all requirements are met — including any required First Aid — your qualification documentation is issued.

Credit Transfer

How Your Previous Training Is Recognised

Credit Transfer is determined unit by unit using authenticated, nationally recognised training evidence and the current National Register. Where you have previously completed the same or a formally equivalent unit, eligible Credit Transfer is granted and the unit is not reassessed. Units not eligible for Credit Transfer are allocated to the targeted upgrade training and assessment pathway. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may also be available where requested and appropriate.

After the review, SNS College confirms your Credit Transfer outcomes, targeted units, learning and assessment requirements, First Aid requirement, fees, schedule and any learner support or reasonable adjustment arrangements.
